This paper provides an overview of some of the key challenges and possible approaches to monitoring the work of the judiciary, hoping to encourage discussion in professional circles about new, innovative models that could offer more complete picture of work, omissions and challenges of the judiciary in BiH, with special focus on the prosecution of corruption.
In last ten years, activities are intensified on global scale in order to develop appropriate methodological instruments to enable the monitoring of the work of the judiciary as closely as possible, as well as a more precise perception of trends in the success of judicial institutions in practice. The focus of the attention of various actors in the judiciary is increasingly the methodologies, categories and indicators that allow the examination of the state of the judicial system at different levels: from the rule of law in general to the monitoring and measurement of the performance of judges and prosecutors.
The main goal of this text is to present some of the important problems, dilemmas and possible methodological approaches to the monitoring and analysis of the work of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis on the processing of corruption as an area that has long been the subject of particular attention to the domestic public and international actors.
