The policy brief is the result of the research project “New-old constitutional engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina? Complexity and possible directions for the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights decision in the case Sejdic and Finci vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina," conducted by Analitika in 2010 and 2011 with the financial support of Open Society Fund BiH, which aimed to identify the possible modalities of the execution of the decision in the case of Sejdić and Finci versus BiH.

This policy brief is based on the book "New/Old Constitutional Engineering? Challenges and Implications of the European Court of Human Rights' decision in the case of Sejdić and Finci v. BiH," written by Edin Hodžić and Nenad Stojanović and published by Analitika in 2011.
