He received his MA and PhD degrees in criminology from the Faculty for Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies (University of Sarajevo). As an author and co-author he published several scientific and professional papers, primarily in the fields of etiology and phenomenology of crime and reaction to crime.He participated in creation and implementation of various scientific and academic research projects in the field of criminology. Since 2013 he functions as the director of Association of Criminalists, Criminologists and Security Managers. His fields of interest are criminology theories, corruption, juvenile delinquency and hate crimes.
