First day of the RRPP Research Academy
Research Academy, organized by The Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP) Western Balkans, has started today in Sarajevo. 35 young researchers from various countries in the Western Balkans will attend the 8-day academy, where they will learn from 13 experts of research methods from all over Europe.
Tarik Jusić, executive director of the Center for Social Research Analitika, said that through this pilot project, young researchers will be able to gain crucial knowledge in a range of social research methods.
Magdalena Skolska, RRPP representative, welcomed the participants and underlined the importance of this project, which is tailored for young researchers in order to provide them with knowledge and skills in the field of research.
The Research Academy is designed as a summer school composed of several linked one-day modules. During the program of the Research Academy, junior researchers will be guided through all stages of the research process, and the sessions will be highly interactive and practice-oriented.
The RRPP is coordinated and operated by the Interfaculty Institute for Central and Eastern Europe (IICEE) at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). The Local Coordination Unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Center for Social Research Analitika. The programme is fully funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
