Ljiljana Filipović was born in Tuzla in 1958. She graduated and gained her Masters' Degree from the Law Faculty of the University of Sarajevo. Since 2003 she has been a judge of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Earilier, she was a judge of the Cantonal Court, Higher Court and Municipal Court in Tuzla.

She is the co-author of "Comments on Criminal Law in Bosnia and Herzegovina" and the educational module "Criminal Procedure Against Legal Persons". She is the author of the educational module "Prosecution Procedure and Main Trial Hearing", as well as numerous articles on criminal and criminal procedure law.
