Within the thematic area of Communications and Knowledge Management of the Programme for Strengthening of Public Institutions four public institutions in BiH are making efforts to increase their own transparency in a proactive and sustainable manner. Together with three civil society organizations the representatives of institutions developed Policy on Proactive Transparency in Public Administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and defined the standards to be implemented. In order to further improve cooperation with the civil society GIZ engaged the Center for Social Research Analitika to monitor the implementation of proactive transparency standards.
The purpose of Analitika’s assignment is to monitor, contextualize and report the implementation of the proactive transparency standards in the four beneficiary institutions of the Programme in order to document the progress achieved, identify challenges and recommend future steps.
Outcome of the assignment will be an independent study report on the implementation of transparency standards.
The monitoring study will focus its scope on the following institutions:
1. Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office
2. Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina
3. Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina
4. Directorate for European Integration
This project is funded by the Programme for Strengthening of Public Institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Programme for Strengthening of Public Institutions is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Government.
