Cooperation between CSOs and Government Institutions

Fostering cooperation among civil society organizations (CSOs), as well as between CSOs and government institutions at various levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has become a backbone of the approaches of EU Delegation to BiH. Significant efforts have been undertaken to facilitate cooperation among CSOs (often through various networks and consortia) as well as to foster cooperation between CSOs on one side and public institutions on the other (often forced upon both sides through conditions attached to awarding grants to CSOs and government institutions).

The purpose of the research is to assess the impact of such efforts and activities that included cooperation between CSOs and government institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The overall purpose of the project is to provide capacity building of the State, entities and Brčko District governments in development of institutional mechanisms for stronger cooperation with the entire civil society in order to enable the aforementioned governments to engage in more fruitful dialogue and more efficient and more organized cooperation with civil society in mutual interest.

This is a part of Capacity Building of Government Institutions (CBGI) project, implemented by Kronauer Consulting from Sarajevo and EPTISA from Spain.
