Center for Social Research Analitika has been awarded a maximum 5-star ranking for financial transparency by Transparify – an organization that provides the global rating of the financial transparency of major think tanks and policy advocacy institutions.

On 29 July 2015, Sarajevo hosted a working meeting which defined the proposed measures to create the first Action Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Open Government Partnership.

 

Center for Social Research Analitika invites recent graduates of MA and PhD programs in the social sciences and humanities to apply to the Think Tank Fund (Open Society Foundations) Young Professionals Development Program, to gain firsthand policy research and advocacy experience in our organization. Through this program, which can last for a period of up to six months, we want to support all young professionals who possess a strong motivation and directly contribute in the field of research in social sciences and humanities. The call is open until August 1, 2015.

Guest speakers from different countries of the Western Balkans presented and discussed concrete examples of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) projects at this year’s Annual Conference on Swiss Cooperation with Eastern Europe 2015, which was held in Biel/Bienne, 29 May 2015.
 

Center for Social Research Analitika started a new web platform PolicyHub (www.policyhub.net) dedicated to the development of social research, with a focus on research policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans.

Kristina Irion (University of Amsterdam, Central European University in Budapest) and Analitika's Executive Director Tarik Jusić jointly published an article entitled International Assistance and Media Democratization in the Western Balkans: A Cross-National Comp

An article written by Analitika's research fellow Davor Marko on media assistance and development of functional media institutions in Serbia was published in the new issue of the Yearbook of the Faculty of Political Studies, University of Belgrade. The article in local languages is available HERE.

A presentation of Analitika’s new study on local communities (mjesne zajednice) in BiH and the forthcoming program on strengthening the role of local communities in BiH, to be implemented by United Nations Development Programme in BiH, took place at the UN House on December 19, 2014, in Sarajevo. The event was organized by the Embassy of Sweden, the Embassy of Switzerland and UNDP BiH.

After the first meeting which gathered civil society organizations' representatives from Sarajevo, Analitika continued with a series of meetings planned to take place throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina within the USAID and Open Society Fund BiH funded “

The third conference POINT (Political responsibility and new technologies) this year will be held in Sarajevo's Art Cinema Kriterion in the period from 22nd until 25th of May. The conference is designed as a platform for exchange of views, experiences and ideas of civil society, as well as training on the use of new technologies and social networks.
