Strengthening the Capacity of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of BiH (Phase 2)

This project is a continuation of the previous phase of the project “Strengthening the Communication Capacity of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented between December 2013 and July 2015 in cooperation with the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina (APIK). The project is funded by the British Government.

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption (APIK) to perform its core functions: outreach; prevention; coordination and education, and to advance the level of its in-house expertise in respect to communication, conflict of interest, whistle-blower protection, and coordination aspects of its anti-corruption mandate.

Within the project, the focus will be placed on the number of key outputs:

  • Improving the image of APIK and its reach towards key stakeholders through systematic and strategic promotion of its anti-corruption activities;

  • Knowledge and skills of APIK staff improved in the areas of communication, corruption-prevention, and coordination of anti-corruption activities;

  • Improved capacities of APIK to provide systematic education to public institutions at various levels of government in BiH with anti-corruption competencies.

The project lasts from October 2015 until March 2016.
