Erna Mačkić

Bio

Erna Mačkić is a graduate politologist and a master of international law. As a journalist, she started working in 2003 at the Dnevni list, following political, economic and social developments. Four years later, she joined the Balkan Research Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIRN BiH), focusing on the work of judicial institutions and transitional justice. Apart from reporting from the trial and making analyses, she also worked as the editor of a weekly radio show, monthly television shows, as well as a series of reports and other texts that are closely related to the judiciary and dealing with the past. She also works as a trainer for reporting on the prosecution of war crimes and the transparency of the judiciary. She moderated a series of sessions at the Hague Tribunal's conferences, courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as media events, both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region. She also worked on two documentary films "Silent Shout" and "Missing You". She is author of three publications on the media published by BIRN BiH.
